Buttercream 0 Posted April 14, 2016 Hi, I was sleeved on April 8th and Im on my sixth day of recovery. The incision right above my belly button has started to hurt more than anywhere else and I feel a hard lump. Is this normal ? Has anyone else experienced this ? Left a message for my doctor, but wanted to hear from everyone else. Thanks~
Samara1974 116 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) The lumps in my incisions are the disposable stitches. Almost 2 months out and I still have lumps they can last up to 6 months or more depending on the person. I also read, do not rub them if they hurt it can delay your healing process. You should be concerned if the incision has: swelling. increased redness around the wound. pus or bleeding from the wound. the wound feeling warm. an unpleasant smell from the wound. increasing pain. a high temperature (fever) of 38°C (100.4°F) or above. swollen glands.
