LLB 0 Posted August 8, 2007 Two weeks before my lapband surgery, I started the pre-op diet and lost ten pounds. I had surgery two and a half weeks ago and since then have lost another fifteen. I'm thrilled w/those results, BUT I have so much swelling in my stomach that I look nine months pregnant. I had my post-op check-up a couple of days ago and the doctor was not concerned in the least, even though he hadn't heard of this happening. Has this happened to anyone else...and if so, when does it go away? I have NOTHING to wear, and what DOES fit is painful because the skin across my entire abdomen is very sensitive (he did have a response to that). TerriDoodle 6 Posted August 9, 2007 If you're 'gassy' then take some Gas-X 4x a day for a few days...that should help immensely!
LLB 0 Posted August 9, 2007 I'm not sure if this is gas or some other form of bloat, but yesterday I had a very gassy day, and this morning, one of the pairs of pants I couldn't close yesterday, fit. I'll buy some Gas-X today...thanks for the advice. LLB
