I can't believe how foul diet coke tastes to me now, after a 2 liter a day habit for many years. There are times I remember that great feeling off it going down my throat, but the taste just sucks now.

I'm still preop but I had a diet coke last night (it was really the least evil of the choices available) and realized that after having sworn off of it for surgery it really doesn't taste all that good.

I had gastric bypass surgery they told us no soda ever which is fine with me I wasn't a real soda person. But I have always been very much a Water person and now it tastes like perfume I have to force myself to drink it and I don't like anything else really really bothers me.

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive).
