Hello,

I've only been out from surgery for 3 weeks. I had surgery on March 23, 2016. I started at 245 lbs and after the two week pre-op high Protein / low carb diet i dropped to 233 lbs. That is what i weighed on the day of surgery. Since then I have lost an additional 17 lbs and today weigh 216lbs.

For the most part i have had low energy but recently received a Vitamin B shot and am taking additional B12 10,000mcg sublingual supplements. This seems to be working as i am able to do some boxing workout and today did some treadmill work.

I run two non-profit organizations and help several others.

One of the organizations which i am Executive Director of helps At-Risk youth through boxing lessons. The boxing workout regimen is very demanding and helps to instill discipline and can lead to a healthy lifestyle. The workout can also be used as recreational therapy for youth and adults who suffer from minor and major mental health issues. I have been doing this work for close to 20 years.

The other program that i run helps destitute communities to address socioeconomic issues, quality of life issues, and aims to empower homeowners, business owners, and residents. I have been doing this work for about 15 years.

For the past 5 years or so both of these initiatives have been in high demand. I and my family do our best to help but for the past 2 years my health was rapidly declining due to weigh gain. My blood pressure was out of control and my only incentive in life was to satisfy my work, mainly because of the high demand.

The energy that i am spending at work leaves me very little time for my family.

This the main reason that i decided to have the sleeve operation. I want to make sure that i am healthy enough to be here for my family, enjoy life with them, and to be able to serve the community better.

In the past i have lost weight by detoxing, dieting and working out. But with my numerous health issues including high blood pressure and sleep apnea, I just couldn't do it.

Ive lost 29lbs so far and starting to feel very good. My goal is 70lbs to get to my proper BMI. That would put me at 175 lbs when its all done. I got 40lbs to go.

I hope and pray that every thing works out. Thank you for reading

That is a great set of reasons! Thank you for sharing that! I noticed my energy was low as well in the first month but after I was given the go ahead to use solid pills again, I found my energy and my activity level came back to normal. I credit a lot of that to the Vitamins I started taking they really made me feel better. The chew-able Multivitamins I was using didn't do anything for me. Since we have to be on Multivitamins for the rest of our lives I really did my research and found the Vitamins I take now and I feel great! I started walking and light exercise (do to a previous illness it is tough for me to exercise) I have always wanted to try boxing as an exercise but I didn't do it before I got sick and now I don't have the balance to be able to do it! It sounds like you are on track! Good luck with your journey I hope you continue on the lighter side (pun intended)

My Vitamins are through an online international health and wellness company. Here is the link showing the study that they did on their Vitamins, which is why I chose them. If after looking at the research, you want more info let me know and I can hook you up with the company. The company rewards its customers if they introduce someone new to them. Thanks!

No problem! Let me know what you think. Do you think a person could use boxing as an exercise with a bad balance issue? I have always wanted to try it but I lost my balance 6 years ago! Thanks!

I am a right handed. I use to be a healthy fat guy but 6 years ago I had a stroke in the brain stem and it has left me with balance issues. basically it's like I'm on a rocking ship all the time (luckily any sea sickness has gone a long time ago lol) Anyway I have been getting more active since my surgery and I wonder if I could! Thank for any advice!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
