tracyh1110 1 Posted April 17, 2016 Hey Jocelyn, My name is Tracy. I also had a bypass in march and i am about a month out. Right now I am supposed to be on a full liquid diet. I find that I get nauseated if I try to eat anything more than what is on my diet. Or try to drink and eat at the same time. It does not mix well. You are supposed to wait 30 minutes in between. I know it is hard because you think you are hungry but your body can't tolerate what you want to eat and then you stay nauseated or throw up. At least I do. I also don't tolerate drinking Water, I prefer ice chips. Just find something you like ( Vitamin Water, Powerade zeros ) to get your fluids in.

Mrs_B_12/16/15 11 Posted April 29, 2016 Hi Jocelyn, my name is Ebony I'm 24 and had the bypass on Dec 16th of last year starting at 226 I've recently hit my 4 month mark and I'm currently at 157. I used to have the same issue as you when it comes to being nauseous but I quickly learned it was because I didn't wait the whole 30 minutes in between drinking and eating. Every since surgery I barely can get in 48 Oz a day if that, it happens to a lot of us. If you'd like to inbox me I could use a friend as well.
