anitavee 57 Posted April 12, 2016 Ok! So Mr. Regret has finally paid me a visit. Post surgery recovery has been ok. 1 week now since my surgery and if I could do it over... I would decline. food was such a part of my life. I miss dinner with my family and feeling like a freak. I feel heart burn even after drinking Water. Finally had sex with my husband and it really doesn't feel the same. Quite awkward and a little painful. We actually had to stop and think about birth control! I know I will get past this stage but as an Executive in the business world I feel like I should have been able to beat this thing they call obesity! luv4jb169 7 Posted April 13, 2016 Take it one week at a time! And as far as having relations I think sits a bit too early! Your body needs to rest. Once you go to soft foods you will feel like a whole new person! Good luck...
crazygoose 190 Posted April 13, 2016 All I can say is you made this choice for a reason and you've got to remember that. You know why you made the choice to get weight loss surgery whether it be because you know that if you tried to do it on your own again you wouldn't have stuck with it very long or the weight would eventually come back and this surgery is an enforcement into better eating habits. I feel bad that you can't eat with your family but just know that you will be able to again, just differently. I have regrets too now and then every time a burger commercial comes on or every time I open someone else's fridge and see all their food inside but I have to fight it and remember why I got the surgery. Good luck and just maybe take a minute and try to reset yourself mentally remind yourself why you had the surgery in the first place.
