@@GSleeve822 - are you eating pureed?

Are you sure you are not over eating? Measure out a small amount, chew very well, wait a few minutes then eat another bite, chew well...

follow your doctors orders and contact their office to be safe - always seek professional help FIRST.

Make sure you are doing everything your medical team directed you to do and on that timeline, that could be the problem too.

Mt wife and I both got the sleeve the same day, 3/28. this week, whenever she eats she feels really sick and throws up. anyone know why or have any ideas?

Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

It could be all kinds of reasons. Perhaps she needs to eat slower, the texture of the food might be too dense or not moist/soft enough, she might be drinking too close to eating, or she could have an internal issue. I would give the doctor or nutritionist a call. If eliminating all the external factors doesn't resolve things, then it may be time for a check up to make sure nothing internal is happening.

I got sleeved on the 28th and I'm still on full/clear liquids. I tried mushy food (cottage cheese) on Saturday and was in pain and threw up as well. I will not try again until this weekend. I have been feeling better the last couple days since reversing back to Soup, broth and Protein Shakes. Maybe she should try going back to liquids and waiting a bit before trying soft food. Everyone heals differently so even if your ok with food by this time she may not be. Hope she ends up feeling better!

Like Jane, I think the most likely thing is that she is eating more than she can take. Different people have different capacity, but people commonly can only eat a few ounces of food at once in the beginning, say, half a cup - not much at all. If she eats less and eats slower, the problem may go away.
