Fitmiss Protein Powder

Recommended Posts

Two months ago I started having a Protein shake for Breakfast since the NUT said that you should find one you like before surgery. Currently I'm using Fitmiss... but I'm wondering if anyone else uses it? I know I'm one of those people that are skeptical when things are cheap. A container of it is only like $28 (lasts 30 days). I'm wondering if it's cheaper because it's not that good? I used to drink Isopure low carb whey, but I was also working out twice a day and did lose almost 80 pounds. It's what my body builder friends recommended, but since I'm currently not weight lifting would it still be a good Protein powder? I mix my Protein with Soy Milk.

Don't know the answer to the Protein powder question, though now in my desire to live and eat "cleanly" I want to eliminate crap/chemicals from diet as much as possible and most all of the powders are really crap ingredient wise and sweetened with stuff we don't even wanna know about. I found one called Orgain's organic Protein sweetened with Stevia, I hope it turns out to be a good one. You never know because we can be fooled my companies so easily.

My only suggestion would be to stop using Soy; seriously, research Soy a little, it's really becoming widely rejected.

I use almond milk now

I have been drinking almond milk for years, my doctor told me to switch to soy milk because it has Protein and other health benefits.

There are so many Protein powder with sugar or chemical sweetener. Take a look at MRM . I been drinking MRM for four years and Yum and only 1 carb. I put one scoop of Protein Powder in travel size baggies. On Sunday I left the house and forgot a blender cup and baggies of Protein in the kitchen. So I went to Hi-health and purchased chocolate X-RATED powder. Tastes so good with only one carb and 25g protein (7 more than MRM). Enjoy !

thanks for these ideas!!

Hey I have to confess that after 8 weeks I "went off" yesterday, I feel like a fool; just eating some

amounts of fairly high calorie treats, like ice pops, puddings, Atkins candy bars etc. Anyway, I totaled it all up

ugh, and it was around 1700 calories for the day which is at least 600 calories higher than my highest day since surgery

then I looked on line to discover that any "normal" diet or website says that for my height and weight if I want to lose

I should eat 1800 or less a day so I felt better but still, it was the breakdown of the great discipline I've shown for months

thanks for listening to my vent back on track today!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
