Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted September 25, 2007 I am not sure where you are in Oregon but we have Western Rattlesnakes around where I live and to my knowledge they are all over the state. I have been bit by one once. That was REALLY bad but contrary to popular knowledge they are not deadly with one bite to full grown adults. Older people and young children can die from a single bite though. I am on the coast, about 100 miles north of California. Are there snakes here? Where are you in Oregon???? Wheetsin 714 Posted September 25, 2007 I lost 80 lbs putting myself on a 10g fat/day diet and exercising 6x week. At the time, that was all I had to lose. Then I gained back like 200 lbs. $^#&% diets. Green - all throughout my childhood, and up until about 3 years ago when our last one died, I had snakes as pets. Pythons. I think they're awesome. I can truly look at a snake and think, "Awww, it's so cute!!" I don't ever plan to have another, but still like to "visit" them at the local herp stores. A plus - there's no way I could have snakes as pets, and be afraid its food, so I also have no problems with rodents, big or small. The only time they've alarmed me was when I was brining home feeder rats, and one escaped and crawled up my pant leg while I was driving down the interstate. Any time anything crawls up my pants, and I haven't at least been bought dinner, alarms are going off. In addition to little people, I am sincerely creeped out by the sound of joints popping. Like when people crack their knuckles, or backs, I want to stab them in the face. I can't stand it. It is to me what nails on the chalkboard are to others. It gives me goosebumps and makes me feel nauseous.

If your on the coast you won't have to worry as much since there will be a lot less of them due to weather conditions. I live in the Medford area

jenncore 0 Posted September 25, 2007 When my husband and I were in the dating stage, we went to Disney World in Florida. We got a little "freaky" on one of the rides. Hey it was dark and there wasn't anybody in any of the cars near us. A few years ago, we read somewhere that there are hidden camera's on the rides. Imagine our surprise!!! I had a baby black rat snake for a little while, but my cats were giving it a complex. They liked to sit outside its container and bat at the plastic, so I set it loose. anonemouse 1 Posted September 25, 2007 Monkeys completely freak me out. I don't get the appeal of them. Nasty, mean, disgusting animals. I mean, I can understand wanting to study them, in science, but owning one as a pet? You HAVE to be kidding.
