Pinkgirl1234 761 Posted April 9, 2016 I was diagnosed with a "Fatty Liver"anyone else dealing with this?
Crochet Queen 16 Posted April 9, 2016 Yes, I believe this is quite common with people that are overweight. It is no joke though. My liver enzymes has been elevated as a result of my fatty liver. This of course is not good for your liver as it can cause scarring over long-term. Losing weight is the best way to combat fatty liver. my sleeve gastroplasty procedure is scheduled for April 21 looking forward to getting rid of my high blood pressure fatty liver and horrible reflux and bringing down my A1 C! esskay77 785 Posted April 9, 2016 Had this before surgery but now that I have had the surgery and lost weight it is very normal!
shrinkingkimber 200 Posted April 9, 2016 I was told about five years ago I had the beginning stages of nonalcoholic steato hepatitis or fatty liver disease. My liver enzymes were elevated however recent blood work has shown they are at a normal level. I don't know if this means I have reversed the fatty liver or what but I amlooking forward to losing weight and never having to worry about it again. Crochet Queen 16 Posted April 9, 2016 You have to get another sonogram to see the fatty infiltration of the liver that is the only way to know if the fatty liver has improved since losing weight. Fatty liver is basically just that you have fat in your liver so when you lose a significant amount of weight you will also lose it in the liver. I think it is also dependent on how long you have had the fatty liver and if there has been any damage done to it. De fluff 59 Posted April 9, 2016 I was told my liver account and kidney count was off. Don't know what that means. Still waiting for my doctor to call me to discuss bloodwork. I'm hoping my surgery scheduled for April 21 isn't rescheduled due to that! did anyone go through this or have any info for me!?
