Now you know "The rest of the story".

Yes, this poor woman's surgical journey is rare, but such complications do happen.

It is so important that one goes into WLS with both eyes wide open, especially when contemplating sleeve surgery since it is the only WLS that is irreversible.

Research! Read everything you can. Talk to people--both positive and negative. Only when well educated and inform should you make a decision about having WLS.

Good luck with your research and let us know what you decide. We are always here to bounce concerns off of, and to offer our own experiences , rants and raves.

Prayers going up for you.

I had surgery a few days ago. My experience was completely different but everyone is unique. There were six patients who had surgery on the same morning as me - one was in terrible pain after, one felt like she had done hundreds of sit-ups, one had issues with nausea and gas, one had soreness from the incisions and two of us had no issues at all.

On her nine-month update video, the woman in the video you posted says that even with all the "ups and downs" life is so much better. She's lost about 125 pounds too in the nine months.

Do your research and remember that every surgery has risks. So you have to make the best decision for yourself.

Thank you Tobysgirl and Valentina for your kind replies ! It does seem that everyone has different experiences. It's the people who have the complications! I need to work out what the percentage is ? It does seem to be quite a lot ? I am glad as you say this video experience is quite rare. I will carry on awaiting replies and people's experiences before I take the plunge.

Thank you x

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
