little restriction

Recommended Posts

I had the band 4 weeks ago. My doc added 2 cc's last week because I told him I had no restriction. I still feel very little restriction. I am working so hard and I lost 23 pounds, but the surgery seems to have little to do with it. I could still eat enormous quantities if I I let go.:phanvan

Sometimes, in fact most times it takes more than one fill to reach your sweet spot. For the safety and health of your band and stomach, it is best to slowly proceed to finding that point. Often it takes several days for a fill to properly show itself, and how it is going to help you. Noone knows why! But in some people, they feel nothing, then wake up 4 days later with restriction....it is a different reaction with each patient.

Following the rules, and eating healthy, is teaching you new habits, that as you go on with more fills or adjustments, you will be able to use, to continue your weight loss.

Hang in there-----you will find restriction....!!

Welcome to bandland, and welcome to LBT we are glad to have you here!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
