ange117 93 Posted April 6, 2016 Well, I made it. Surgery was at 9:15am Monday morning. Surgery went off without a hitch. Tuesday morning, I started fluids by mouth, had no issue. By the afternoon I developed an intestinal bleed, so I haven't had anything by mouth since then, but it seems to have stopped now, so we're back on track. The bleed has earned me an extra night at the hospital, but all said and done, I've been doing really well! Hello, post-op, here we go!

ange117 93 Posted April 8, 2016 I came home yesterday afternoon, and aside from a ton of sleeping, I've been pretty good. Clear liquids go down fine, but my Protein shake is a bit more of a challenge. Right now I'm getting 2 shakes down a day, but I'm supposed to be getting 3 plus 3 Protein 'Snacks.' Frankly I'm not even awake long enough for that, so I'm really focusing on fluids and getting in protein as I can. I know it'll get better over the next week or so. My shoulders are still killing me from the gas. x_x I am VERY ready for that to go away now. I'm still very weak and tired from the blood loss, but I'm trying to push fluids to let my body make more. scale says I'm down 6.3 lbs this week.
