bellabeans 74 Posted April 7, 2016 My appt is with dr sechar . I'm looking him up everywhere I can . He seems good . I think I'm scared no matter who I get. When I called he was the surgeon that dealt with my insurance . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Valentina 2,642 Posted April 7, 2016 The only surgeon that I have any knowledge of from that group is Fiaris Hamdi--AKA Fiaris Bridges, sorry. If you have done your research --as in past complaints, any malpractice suits, past experience (don't be his first patient--MY personal opinion), fatality percentage, even community involvement, AND your gut feeling is comfortable with his competency then you have done all that you can do. Your journey is cleared for take off!

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I've heard good things about him and the coordinator of bariatric surgery when I went to a bariatric support group at St. Catherine's of Siena (Smithtown, I believe, in NY). Going to a support group was one of the pre-pre-op hoops I had to jump through. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
