lat72 38 Posted April 6, 2016 Did your Dr tell you if you can or can not wear them in surgery. Conflicting answer. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
tailor-made 33 Posted April 6, 2016 I have acrylic overlay on my own nails. The receptionist at my surgeon's office told me it was okay just no polish. However, I'm going to triple check at my pre-op appointment. Better safe than sorry. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
kranky813 477 Posted April 6, 2016 My surgeon didn't even mention it at all. I would call and check or ask at your next visit.
Tssiemer1 549 Posted April 6, 2016 Your nail beds need to be visible so staff can see if you're having problems such as cianosis.
JamieLogical 8,713 Posted April 6, 2016 I was told no nail polish or toe nail polish. No mention of acrylic nails though. Definitely check and double-check with your surgeon.
Tssiemer1 549 Posted April 6, 2016 No mention yet from my surgeon but I've been through so many surgeries I just don't wear any.
