Deleted Profile 87 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) How much exercise were you able to do around week 2. Yesterday was 12 days post op and I hit the track to try to do 2-3 miles of walking. After 1 1/2 miles I couldn't walk anymore. My leg muscles hurt so bad!! Prior to surgery I could do 2 miles and now it just feels so tiring. Felt so bad that I couldn't push myself to at least the 2 mile mark. How did you do 2 weeks in? "In the end we only regret the chances that we didn't take." Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 6, 2016 I was walking less than a mile. Be easy on yourself -- you came through major surgery and your body needs to conserve its energy to focus on healing. You'll get back to where you were eventually, I promise.
her1981 448 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) 2 weeks in I couldn't walk long or far. I would literally walk every aisle in Walmart or Target and lean on the cart for support. Don't push yourself so soon. Edited April 6, 2016 by her1981
SeahawksFan 444 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) I don't think I could have done that much at 2 weeks. I remember I could feel it in my stomach if I pushed it. Take it slow. The worst thing you could do is hurt yourself. Also make sure you get enough Water. I made the mistake of over doing it and end up in the ER from dehydration. Not fun. It will take 6-8 weeks to heal. Good luck LA Edited April 6, 2016 by SeahawksFan
Deleted Profile 87 Posted April 6, 2016 Ok thanks everyone!!! I felt so bad that it was all I could do. I was so hard on myself yesterday so I thank all of you!!!! "In the end we only regret the chances that we didn't take."
BelgianGuy 350 Posted April 6, 2016 After two weeks, I would be dead tired after 2 or 3 miles, but I used to walk and bike a lot before the surgery. Don't go too hard on yourself, it's already good that you walk everyday!
