docpaddle 20 Posted April 18, 2016 I had no pre op diet, but my surgeon warned me of the "last big meal", so I ate a good Breakfast two days before, and then went all liquid. I am 4 1/2 days post op and have lost 19lbs all ready. Pretty much living on broth right now. Tried a soft boiled egg this am, was a bit uncomfortable. Going to stick to fluids for a few more days. Taking all my vits and meds, and I must confess, look forward to my chocolate Calcium chewables!!
chrisredjeep 357 Posted April 18, 2016 I did it have a pre op diet but I put myself on Soup for the last two days before op and then nothing after 10am morning of surgery. I've lost over 80 lb since July 16 2015.
love4life 9 Posted April 18, 2016 I didn't have a pre op diet. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. For the last week I have been eating lighter, no carbs or fried foods. Now through surgery I put myself on a liquid diet. Again my doctor didn't put me on a diet but after reading how many people were on a diet, I decided to put myself on one. asmallerme2016 33 Posted April 19, 2016 I am on a 2 week liquid diet and was told it was to prepare me for the 2 weeks post-op. Also to show the doctors I can do it. It is super hard I won't lie. I'm on day 4 of liquid, surgery scheduled for 4/29. Hoping I can make it. Didn't cut out the caffeine but after reading this I really should. Good luck!!
