Yesterday made me 9 weeks post op. For the last 3-4 weeks I have been stalled. I go up 2 pounds, down 3, up 1, down 2. I was 267 on surgery day(feb 1st). I am 5'8. Last Thursday I weighed 229 now this morning the scale showed 233. Do you think I am done losing? I'm getting in Protein and Water and 2-4 small meals/snacks throughout the day. Anyone else with stats around mine with some encouragement? I'm so scared I'm not going to lose anymore.

You are definitely not "done" losing at only 9 weeks out. Stalls happen. There will be many of them. You just have to wait them out. Stick to your plan. Get your Protein and Water in. Take your Vitamins. Move as much as possible. Based on the stats you listed, you lost 34 pounds in 9 weeks. That's a ridiculous amount of weight and your body is probably just trying to catch up and adapt.

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight.

Embrace the Stall!

at my doctors office when I am weighed there is a ticker that states how many calories you need to maintain that weight. If you are eating less calories than needed, and you move your body the weight will come off. some of us just seem to have more stubborn fat. Keep up your Protein and fluids and take one day at a time.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
