Easy does it.

It's in there. Bringing it back up will cause more harm that letting it digest.

In the morning, call your surgeon's office and let them know. They are the ones to guide you. You might get a wee bit scolded, but I doubt that you did anything drastically dangerous.

Maybe drinking extra Water will help the process tonight.

Just to make yourself feel more at ease, call them, OK?

Then come back and let us know what they said. We care---even when one of us makes a silly misstep. :)

How much did you eat? Did your surgeon not give you post op guidelines to follow? What food stage are you supposed to be at?

Hello guys, I am 2 weeks out and I just eat popcorn. I was looking online and I founded out that eating popcorn wasn't a good choice....and now I'm super scared

The early phases are all about texture. Don't you have a list of approved foods for your post-op phases? In the first weeks and months after surgery I didn't put anything in my mouth without consulting my post-op nutrition manual.

Well there you go. If it's not on the approved list then don't eat it.

I do have it, but I didn't realized that it also said not to eat popcorn

I'm definitely not eating it again. I just hope not to have any problems just because I ate it

Definitely call your surgeon's office. At best, seeds can cause severe gastric irritation on your already inflamed stomach lining and at worse get stuck in your staple line and cause a leak or infection.

And yes, I do mean to scare you. Did you really think popcorn was a pureed food? If so, you need a serious sit down with your nut before you do hurt yourself. On the other hand, if you knew it wasn't pureed but ate it anyways you need a serious sit down with the psych that approved your surgery.

I'll call them tomorrow

Maybe I won't grouse about my 6 months of Options classes anymore. They have pounded into our brains ad nauseum regarding "no popcorn, no seeds, no blah blah blah, no yadda yadda yadda!"

Been thinking it's been overkill but if you've only seemed to receive a list of approved foods, and not much else? Then I'll try to appreciate my boring classes a whole lot more!

Good luck to you and let us know the outcome! So to speak...

The early stages of the program are all about letting your new belly heal. How I've always thought about it, if I wouldn't give it to a small

Child then I wouldn't give to to my childlike belly. Get back to your plan and stay focused!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
