Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 4, 2016 I haven't had to very often (maybe twice since surgery) but when I did, I followed my surgeon's instructions for stool softener (Dulcolax) + Milk of Magnesia and it worked like a charm.

GibbsGirl 483 Posted April 4, 2016 Senna-S its a stool softener laxative has been the only thing that works other than a suppository for me. My doctor told me to do what I had to do and not be miserable.

TxPatsGal 9 Posted April 9, 2016 The best way to treat hemorrhoids is to drink plenty of Water and take Fiber. You might want to check with your Dr before taking any Fiber since you just had surgery. Also, keep in mind NORCO, Hydrocodon and other pain medications can cause Constipation.< /p>
