KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted May 16, 2016 I have another consult in two weeks with a different surgeon. I'm really leaning towards no implants and I'm hoping this PS will be more open to using my existing tissue to reconstruct my breasts. KristenVSG2014 1,872 Posted May 31, 2016 I met with a different plastic surgeon last Friday. He is the chief of plastic surgery at a University and specializes in patients who have lost massive amounts of weight and also breast reconstruction. He said he should be able to do a breast lift/reconstruction and achieve the look I want with my own tissue (no implants) which is exactly what I hoped for. He also recommends a full Tummy Tuck with vertical incision to take care of all of my loose belly skin. I never plan on wearing a bikini so I'm fine with a vertical scar. He was impressed that my loose skin is mostly only on my front side. He also said I have great muscle tone in my core so he may not need to do any muscle repair, he will find out once he gets in there. I definitely got the 100% trust/warm fuzzy feeling about the entire encounter so I'm going to get with my boss tomorrow to discuss scheduling it. Right now I think it will be November 21. HeavenlyGirl101 36 Posted July 14, 2016 I thought that this was more like a bodily lift than a Tummy Tuck. This is major major surgery. Sent from my Nexus 6 using the BariatricPal App
kranky813 477 Posted July 14, 2016 @@Elode You look AMAZING!! For those considering plastics let me give you a little word of advice. I had my plastics on May 25th - TT and Breast Reduction and lift. I was a non-smoker and did everything that my plastic surgeon said to do but I did end up with a complication. My incision right on top of my pubic bone came open and left a hole in my tummy the size of a walnut in it's shell. It's just something that can happen sometimes because of how tight they pull the skin and stitch it. I am back at work now but still have the hole in my tummy that I have to pack with gauze every day and tape over. It is slowly healing but takes up to 3 months to completely heal. It doesn't hurt (just gross more than anything). Just wanted to throw that out there for you that are considering plastics. I certainly don't regret mine (love to look at my cute new ta ta's and body in the mirror) but did end up with an unexpected complication that sounds to be fairly common. Has the opening become infected and if not what have you been told to do to prevent that from happening ?
