Renee1973 15 Posted April 3, 2016 How are you feeling? I have no energy but I try to walk around the house and get on my elliptical 2 minutes at a time. liquids are still sometimes hard to get down. I get full really fast too, so I'm not sure if I'm getting all of my recommended liquids in. Besides daily Vitamins what else can I take to give me more energy? Thanks in advance! suzyquzy 11 Posted April 4, 2016 I was sleeved on March 22nd. I have had a great recovery, but I did notice some fatigue. I worked really hard to increase my Protein and that seems to help. Are you still on any pain meds? Sent from my KFTHWI using the BariatricPal App
Renee1973 15 Posted April 4, 2016 Yes but I rarely take them. I really don't need it. My problem is fatigue I'm always napping, I know I need to do more Protein but I'm always full... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
nms151 1 Posted April 4, 2016 I had mine on 3/23. I was feeling kinda tired, but I found increasing Protein helped. Still on puréed food for another week and hoping once solids start I'll have more energy. I'm not sure how much weight loss I'm supposed to see at this point, any input? Andrea72 510 Posted April 4, 2016 Hi all. I too had mine on 3/23.. Other than being sluggish, I feel pretty good. Are you getting in enough calories? The reason I ask is because there were a few times I got very lightheaded and after speaking to the nutritionist, I discovered I wasn't getting in enough. At the time I was still on full liquids and less than a week out. So not really being able to hold much, plus everything being sugar free, it's easy to see why one wouldn't get in enough. I started soft foods yesterday, so my fingers are crossed. I'm just ready to see the burst of energy I've heard so much about. Lol. As for the weight loss, I'm not loosing as fast as I've read others have. It gets so disappointing but I'm trying to stop comparing myself to others and remember everyone's journey is different. Good luck to everyone.

tabileigh 5 Posted April 5, 2016 Man it's crazy how different each dr is. I am 2 weeks post op today and I JUST now get to start puréed foods for the next two weeks, then soft foods for 4 weeks. I read all kinds of people being allowed to eat pudding and cream Soups or purée by like day 5. I certainly feel tired, but I figure it's just par for the course. Andrea72 510 Posted April 5, 2016 It is crazy how each Dr is different. Soft foods for me is the longest of the stages lasting 4 weeks, but the other stages were anywhere from 2 to 5 days. Even in the full liquids, I was allowed pudding, yogurt and creamed Soups. I'm definitely one of the lucky ones cause I don't see how some handled such limitations. suzyquzy 11 Posted April 10, 2016 It is almost three weeks post-op. How is everyone doing? I have a head cold and I'm not sure what I can take. I guess something liquid? Other than that, I still feel good. I started soft foods on Friday which isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I still need shakes to make my Protein goal. I'm so sick of shakes! Andrea72 510 Posted April 10, 2016 Sorry about the cold @suzyquzy. I still get pretty tired halfway through the day, but for the most part I'm feeling pretty good. I agree about the soft foods. It actually gets pretty frustrating because when I do finally get an appetite for something, by the time I cook it, or go buy it, the smell alone makes me nauseous. Oh, and there are a lot of things I've discovered I no longer like that I loved prior to surgery, but my surgeon said that was normal.
suzyquzy 11 Posted April 24, 2016 Happy one month surgiversary! I hope everyone is still doing well and plugging along. I am still in the dreaded week three stall. Argh! I made my husband hide the scale which has made my life better. I had my one month follow-up on Friday and the surgeon is happy with my progress, so I am happy, too. I'm down 22 pounds from my pre-op weight. How is everyone else? Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
patpol 1 Posted April 25, 2016 I was sleeves 3/22 I too went through some "tired" days. This week I've tried to get in more nutrition and it has help. I have been approved for soft solids but anything solid comes right back up! My doctor says it's because of the Hiadal Hernia surgery and that can take up to 8 weeks. Anyone else have the hernia surgery and have problems? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Andrea72 510 Posted April 25, 2016 Can you believe it's been one month? Congrats on your weight loss @suzyquzy. I too am still in the dreaded stall, but I'm trying not to panic. I also tucked my scale away. I was tempted to pull it out today, but I'm trying my hardest to wait until my 8 week post op appt. Fingers crossed!! Other than that...I'm feeling pretty good.
