sleeverv 43 Posted June 13, 2016 Wow! Wish I had your doctors. I'm not suppose to add Protein for two weeks which will probably be quite difficult because of the lack of energy factor. Thanks for the information. My doctor is in Mexico and I'm Hoping to find one in San Diego to follow up with. Hopefully he will allow me to go on full liquids before week three like my surgeon is requiring.
gary5862 208 Posted June 13, 2016 I started Protein Shakes the day I came home. On Wednesday I get to start pureed foods. I can't wait!
bellasmommy99 48 Posted June 13, 2016 Hey June friends!!! I had my revision surgery on Friday and am doing well. This morning I wasn't able to get more than a sip of Water down, but this evening I am able to drink a tiny bit more and it took me 3 hours to eat (drink) a SF Jello. I am not going to weight myself for a while due to swelling and healing. So happy I am done and on the mend. Hubby said it may be time to wash my hair. So that will be my first big task in the morning. The liquid hydrocodone works very quickly and puts me to sleep in about 15 minutes. I also use a heating pad on low and that helps a ton. Seems to being textbook for me. Good luck to everyone. I will keep you posted. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

sleeverv 43 Posted June 13, 2016 I'm starting to get a resentment with my doctor. I just looked at my paperwork and she doesn't want me to start adding Protein supplements until week 5! I started Protein Shakes the day I came home. On Wednesday I get to start pureed foods. I can't wait! How long ago did you have your surgery?

I had my surgery in a BCBS Center of Excellence so I totally trust their knowledge and their diet care. There is any way you can find a local doctor or NUT that helps you? I just think that no having any Proteins for 5 weeks does not sound right. gary5862 208 Posted June 13, 2016 Got sleeved June 1st. Feeling great so far.I was sleeved June 6 (4 days ago) and things are getting better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Are you on a clear liquid diet with no Protein for two weeks like I am? Seems insane not to be allowed protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm in full liquids but Protein Shakes are allowed in my diet. The doctor wants me to get 60gr of protein a day, but it has been hard to drink a lot. My diet also allows puddings, cream of mushroom, potatoes and chicken (blend and strain). Here is a picture of the diet my doctor gave me, I hope it helps! btw, feeling great today! sleeverv 43 Posted June 13, 2016 Yes I went to a international center of excellence and my surgeon is the 13th of 18 surgeons of excellence. Stil, I'm already looking into getting a doctor locally adapt to discuss this diet and for my follow up Care. Thank you.
