catzintj 1 Posted August 7, 2007 your not crazy. i think you are experiencing a big life changing event . i think it is normal to have emotions. try getting some exercise and maybe write your feelings down. i was just the opposite . i had no emotions or fear, i was only thinking, god i hope this works and i pray my surgeon is having a good day. he was..... good luck. no two people have the same experience. dont be hard on yourself. Chickie 15 Posted August 7, 2007 I think it is pretty normal to freak out before any major surgery. Let alone a major surgery that will alter your life in a dramatic way. You will get through this! Good luck.
KtKt 0 Posted August 7, 2007 I had a major melt down last night in the form of a panic attack... and I don't even have a date in sight... I don't know if I can do this...
Missy0224 6 Posted August 7, 2007 You're not crazy! Trust me it's all worth it in the end  You'll do great! Keep your head held high and you will succeed.
michellyoh 0 Posted August 7, 2007 I went through the same emotions. About a week before my surgery, I started having dreams about my grand-parents that had passed away years ago. This is a huge decision; a life changing decision. Subconsciencly, we're all faced with our own mortality when having surgery. I'm sure that's what the dreams were about. Stay calm, and think of all of the right reasons you are doing this. The hardest part of the whole process, is the path you took to actually make the decision! You can do it!
