When did you start to notice that your clothing was too big? I've lost 32 pounds and put on jeans today for the first time post-op, Sadly, not only did they still fit, they were still a little tight :( I guess I'm not losing weight in my butt yet lol

Weight loss can be (IS) a cruel b*tch...

You'll lose all your weight in the exact opposite order to what you want to...

I wanted to lose off my fat gut...

So of course, I lost what little arse I had...

Then, I wanted to lose of my fat gut...

And I now have dreeeeaaaamy forearms and have actually lost approx. two inches from around EACH WRIST!!!...

After that , I REALLY wanted to lose off my fat gut...

As can be seen in the only photo in my 'gallery', I've lost plenty of my face...

Now that I'm more than ready to lose weight off my fat gut, I can see ever increasing definition of my quads and calves..

I've lost 230+ pounds and am still wearing a lot of the same clothes...

Admittedly, they kinda look funny...

But I'm still the same shape as I was...

I'm just a little smaller..

Stick with it @@Muggles

Your arse will shrink soon...

I promise...

From 237 to about 190 I wore mostly the same clothes. From 190-160, I fit in most of the same clothes. From 160-145 I was in the same sizes. It was only from 145-129 and with plastics that I really dropped significantly in sizes. I started as an 18, I was in 12's at 180, and then I was in 8's, at 145. At 129, I now where mostly 2's and 4's. Also, a pair of jeggings that fit me when I was 170, still sort of fits me now, although now they are baggy and back then they looked like they had been painted on.

Clothing sizes don't tend to move as fast as we'd like them, but the closer you get to goal, it seems the smaller the difference there is between sizes.

I am down 45 pounds from my surgery weight (52 from my high weight) and can still wear a lot of my old clothes. However I've also been able to go out and buy new clothes that are 2 sizes down and fit me perfectly. I would honestly recommend you head to your local thrift shop and pick up a pair of jeans in a smaller size. Even though the old ones fit, I bet the new ones will too. And that will make you feel awesome! (at least it did for me!)

I really like having "goal" clothing too. When you fit into a goal shirt and it looks good on you, it's an amazing feeling! Good luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
