James Marusek 5,244 Posted April 1, 2016 I noticed the same thing too after surgery. I developed very fine wrinkles on my face that made me look like I was 100 years old. I expect some wrinkles because I was 65 at the time but this was way more drastic. My wife recommended a product called Bio-Oil which can be purchased at CVS, Walmart and other stores. I put this on my face and the wrinkles went away. I have been using it ever since. These wrinkles can also be caused by a lack of fluids. So make sure you are drinking the right amount of liquids each day or your skin will dry out.

Ele marie 92 Posted May 17, 2016 I love bio oil. I have used it for years. I also use coconut oil. I always have kept coconut oil next to my recliner and apply it all day long. I also do not use Soup on my face not even as a child. I have always used ponds cold cream to wash my face. Good luck to you. ♡ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App

CharlotteKat 90 Posted June 22, 2016 Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is looking older after losing weight. I guess all of that nice padding in my face was stretching out the wrinkles. Once it was gone, everything drooped. I'm happy about losing the weight, but not happy about getting the senior discount without asking when I'm not 55 yet. Has this happened to anyone else? Redmaxx 740 Posted January 19, 2017 I though I looked older as well, but everyone else said I looked younger. I just didn't see it. Now I think I look the same. Also, I couldn't see the weight falling off from me until I was a photo of the old me next to a photo of the old me.
Michelle920 66 Posted February 19, 2017 I have bio oil in my medicine cabinet and will start using it!!!
_Kate_ 2,224 Posted February 19, 2017 The only thing that happened to me, was that the skin below and above my eyes lost a heck of a lot of volume. Other than that my face didnt change at all. I never use Water or soap on my face and never have (Thats the one thing I carried on from my mother). Even in my early teens i cleaned my face with cream, either ponds or baby lotion. Maybe im now reaping the benefits of that. I use cold pressed coconut oil for a moisturiser or bio oil. Kate
SummerShadow 27 Posted March 5, 2017 Unless one is very young this is actually quite common with weight loss. Most people lose weight from their face easily and quickly, so the more you lose the thinner your face, and not being in our 20's or 30's.... gets a bit harder as we age to hold that skin plumpness like when we were young. BUT... skin care can help and we get to have a longer, healthier life. I think that's an okay trade off.
seasidegirl 2 Posted March 25, 2017 Yes, thinner me has more wrinkles than plumper me! It's the only upside to being overweight-fewer wrinkles! I hope the bio oil helped! I mat try it too!
