Skippin'69 17 Posted March 31, 2016 I work in a factory and scheduled for my ban on April 12th. I'm supposed to work nights on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Switching from days to nights is hard on the body not to mention just having the procedure 5 days before. I would like some thoughts on taking vacation that weekend? I will be stuck to a computer for 12 hrs each day but with some of the things I've read I may not even want to be there. I have plenty of vacation so it's not a problem but don't want to use it if I don't have too. Thoughts? JamieLogical 8,722 Posted March 31, 2016 I have a desk job and I was VERY tired still when I returned to it at 15 days post-op. I found it very hard to focus and concentrate, especially later in my day and my shifts are only 7 hours. I can't imagine trying to do a 12 hour shift at just 5 days post-op.... borg/assimilated 576 Posted March 31, 2016 I felt pretty "normal" at 5 days post-op. I had very little pain, the worst post surgery for me was nausea which I usually have after anesthesia. That was gone by day four. Good luck!
