Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted April 11, 2016 To select an affirmation I look for the most glaring defect in myself and think of how I would like to become. Since I have a history of incest, one of my favorites is: "I am safe." As for my process, I get an empty note book and write the affirmation down and anything else that pops up. If I have negative self talk, I cross out the negatives and continue to write my affirmation. I do this until I can write a full page with no negatives. Then it becomes 'mine' and I say the affirmation to myself out loud while I am walking. Some of my favorite affirmations are: I am a beautiful and loving woman. I am capable and dependable. I walk in balance and harmony. People really like to be around me. I am a healer and a peacemaker. Today is fabulous. This sounds like a great process. I'll have to try it.
