Hi. I too started with same weights as yourself.

My surgery was on 10th March 2016 and today I'm down 20lbs. So i am now 227. I do expect the loss to slow down as I will be eating a bit more as the weeks progress onto more solid food. But good luck, you're going to be fine x

Bey Opal Chick - how are you feeling energy wise? I'm a week out and get tired pretty easily - I was super active before surgery so it's a little frustrating needing a nap every day.

I'm feeling good regards weight loss surgery but I'm suffering from a separate issue in that I need a total hip replacement. Surgery scheduled for 25th June, so I feel tired from the every day effort of just moving about. Everything is such an effort and I'm now using a cane. I had to stop taking anti inflammatory tablets a week before gastric sleeve surgery. So it's hard to say whether my tiredness is due to such a low calorie diet or my hip. I'd say take a nap if you're able. I also went back to work 10 days after surgery. I'm exhausted some evenings so have early nights. Come June, things can only get better. And for every single one of us who has decided to undergo serious surgery as a last resort to help control our weight (a decision not taken lightly) I'd say all our lives WILL get better. Some journeys more difficult than others, but nonetheless we're all in this together. So keep going krissy34, you'll be fabulous x

I had surgery 3/15. I too needed a nap ever day for at least a little over a week. Once I was able to get more Protein in I felt so much better. Water is still hard to drink all the ounces but I'm doing my best. I am on pureed food now which helps a lot with energy. I am down 19 lbs since surgery and total of 30 lbs since December. Walking alot helps. I wish you the best in your new journey. One day at a time.

March 24 sleevers (or close to that date):

How much are you exercising (doing cardio) and what are you doing (walking, running, bike, elliptical)?

Hello! I also had my surgery on 3/24 and would love some support buddies!

I'm 46, 5'4 and starting weight 256.

Hey Krissy34 I'm also a middle school teacher and had to go back to work 5 days after surgery and I was the toughest week ever! I was totally exhausted but I made it and so will you!

Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
