FayBee 285 Posted March 30, 2016 My office temp is at 71 degrees. But ever since I had surgery on 3/16. I have been cold. I actually went home and changed into a sweater. I have lost 20lbs this month. Is it because I'm less padded? Lol J/k.
Samara1974 116 Posted March 30, 2016 Pretty much, from all the vlogs and blogs I've read get used to the cold until you reach your goal and your weight stabilizes. The weight loss throws everything out of wack for awhile. I have been freezing since surgery too, it is normal.
TipTop in TX 81 Posted March 30, 2016 It's so funny you mention this. Normally I am complaining about being hot at work, not it's perfect! When I get home I tell my hubby it is freezing. He said, "The thermometer is at 72." I didn't believe him, looked and sure enough it was 72. I now walk around with a sweater AND in the evening I turn on my heating pad when I am watching TV. FayBee 285 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) @@Samara1974 @ I was just reading in women's health it has to do with Brown fat vs white fat. The brown fat helps creates heat in the body, and white fat is where we store energy , so I guess we are burning both fats! I will keep my sweater in my office and my heating pad at home ready! rydersmama 804 Posted March 30, 2016 I have been freezing since my surgery in January, I know how you feel! I even go to bed with thick fuzzy socks now and a sweater..... I never did that before! Usually I'd have the fan on , even in winter Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
