Amurillo04 109 Posted March 30, 2016 hello all, I'm half way through my 6 month diet my fourth appointment is at the end of April. I have gone down from 231 to 224 but I am worried about keeping it off for my next appointment. If at my fourth appointment I am let's say 225 or 226 will it effect my insurance. Can they deny me for being heavier then the month before or is it as long as I'm under my initial weight of 231 and don't have a net gain I'm good. All this stuff is so confusing and anxiety provoking. I need this.
jane13 2,256 Posted March 30, 2016 Check with the insurance company, get it in writing just in case. In my case they only 'counted' the start weight. I think it varies because I also had comorbidities, pre-diabetic & HBP, to account for as well
rking 484 Posted March 30, 2016 In my case I could not show a gain at all from one month to the next, actually, one NUT visit to the next. If I gained a pound I would have been denied.
catlady2012 73 Posted April 9, 2016 My starting weight is what my insurance counted also. Sent from my XT1096 using the BariatricPal App
