muniraali 0 Posted March 30, 2016 I was wondering how many grams of sugar should I have per day. The highest I've ever consumed in a day was 26g of sugar. I'm still at my stall and was wondering if that's contributing to it. Also how many grams of sugar should I take a day. I'm eating yogurt smoothie which has 12g, then tuna which has 6g, then greek yogurt at 10g, then my Protein which 4g. I'm sorry it's long I'm just freaking out about my stall which I'm at week four of not losing any. Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
2goldengirl 2,076 Posted March 30, 2016 It isn't about the sugar - it's about your macronutrients (protein/fat/carb), what you eat each day, and how active you are. Just focusing on sugar won't tell you what you need to know.

Just focusing on sugar won't tell you what you need to know.My carb is usually around 50g, my Protein is 50g, I have 0 transfat and my highest saturated fat was 9g. This is approximately what I've been eating since my post op, which was 3 1/2 week ago. I work out very much walking 2 1/2 miles to 3 a day and drink about 50oz of liquid a day. Depending on your total fats per day, your protein/carb totals are only providing you with 400 calories a day, which is too low, especially if you're walking.
