veronica89 5 Posted March 29, 2016 I'm 5'4 260 pounds in have no obesity comorbidities like high blood pressure or diabetes yet thanks to my lord I want to get the vertical sleeve done i can't wrap my head around gastric bypass... but also gastric bypass is the gold standard. .. dont know I don't think I need something so drastic. .. katanne 215 Posted March 29, 2016 They are both good, effective surgeries. Which one you choose is a personal decision to make in conjunction with your surgeon. JamieLogical 8,713 Posted March 29, 2016 Definitely discuss with your surgeon. You can lose all of your excess weight with both. Your stats don't sound all that bad, so sleeve should easily be an option for you. Some surgeons push bypass for patients with very high BMIs, diabetes, or GERD.
