I am 3 and a half months post op and have lost 80 pounds. My wife and I were undecided on where to go for Breakfast the other day and thought about crepes but was unsure if I could eat them. What are your thoughts.

Crepes are basically just scrambled eggs.....It's the FILLINGS you have to be wary of

If you think you can handle it....go ahead and enjoy a crepe.

Ok ... so they are more of an eggy pancake...but still, it's the toppings/fillings to be wary of. I had a piece of french toast on Sunday and IT DID NOT KILL ME!

I guess it depends on how they are made. Traditionally they are mostly flour, like a thin pancake. If I'm craving something like that I generally make my own with Protein powder and mashed banana.

When eating out for breakfast I tend to stick with meat and eggs. Protein and more protein.

There's no reason you shouldn't be physically able to eat crepes. Would I recommend it as a regular thing? Probably not because of the higher carbs. But once in a while would be fine. No one is going to be perfect 100% of the time. For me, when I'm out to breakfast, I always order a scrambled egg with a little feta cheese melted in and a side of breakfast sausage (preferably turkey if they have it).

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
