LollyKates 7 Posted March 28, 2016 I am new to this forum and just celebrated 8 weeks post-op! I am both happy with my weight loss (30 pounds so far) and impatient at the same time. Can anyone else relate? Now that I can eat more normal foods again I am probably not getting as much Water as my body needs but I am able to hit 50-60 grams of Protein each day. I have been hesitant to start exercising because I still feel heavy and awkward... But I know it's time! Looking for some moral support and accountability- which is why I am here! :-) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

finallyfree! 84 Posted March 28, 2016 Try hydralyte iceblocks from the chemist. Like a frozen gatorade. Helps with hydration, they say. I have 3 boxes in my freezer for next week.

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted March 29, 2016 50-60 grams of Protein seems low. What is your Protein target? (Mine is 100 grams.) It is important that you do everything you can to get in both your protein and fluids. It isn't easy but it is doable. I have to make it my number one priority. Exercise also helps. Once my incisions healed and I was cleared to swim I have been in the pool. I started with Water aerobics, etc. and now I swim laps and take an occasional Water aerobics class regularly. It feels great!

LollyKates 7 Posted April 2, 2016 Thanks everyone! Really happy I made the decision to have the sleeve surgery. Work trips have been a little tricky but as long as I stick to Protein and veggies I'm ok! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
