I had my sleeve done on the 24th. Feeling physically better today but very tired! Have a question about stool (I know TMI). I have had a dark green loose stool the last couple days. Have you?

Listen to your body - don't overeat or overdrink, which can be very easy to do, despite how much you have probably been warned. If you are uncomfortable or nauseous, you have consumed too much too fast. You don't want to get to the in-pain or vomiting level. The Water and Protein guidelines are a target to aim for, but more important is not to overdo things Slow down and if that still isn't enough, it's okay to fall short of targets in the early weeks.

Very uncomfortable not nauseous (thank God!!!) and the noises coming from my stomach/intestines are just scary!! LOL - The gas pains in the chest area are annoying too I have heard the first week is hard so I really just want to get through this!

Hi, I'm 5 days out ( mine was done on the 22nd) and the gas pain is finally gone. Now I have another challenge with my intestines and the way they react to a full liquid diet. I guess I also need to adjust there . Overall no feeling of hunger, no cravings. I am indifferent to tv commercials and i even cooked bbq for family and friends. The only problem I noticed is that I was so busy this morning I did not drink anything from 8h30 to 14h. I ended up with a huge headache and dizziness that a proton broth fixed almost immediately . I won't do the same mistake again.

I just realized who you were!!!! Hey my love..... I feel tired and sick of damn liquids. I noticed my urine was extremely dark when I went to the bathroom today (and it slightly burned) so I have to get some more liquids in. I went for a walk today for 10 minutes and it drained the heck out of me. We will get through this!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
