Time off from work?

I am a middle school teacher & took off 2 weeks. My surgery was on a Monday h by that Friday I was ready to go back! My admin wouldn't let me, so I had the full 2 weeks off. However, realistically I could have gone back after 1. I was mildly tired when I started back, but not so exhausted that I couldn't do my job.

It really does depend on you. Everyone is different!

I took 3 weeks but my husband had surgery 2 weeks after me so the 3rd week was to help take care of him

I had surgery on a Thursday and went back Tuesday. Everyone tolerates this differently. I have friends that were off work for 2 weeks. Also depends on what you do. Just gage how you're feeling. Do what's best for you!

I'm only taking this week (one week) off. Dr suggest 2 but my job is very sedentary. As long as the pain keeps easing up I'll be returning after this week. Boss knows what happened and fully support me so worse cause I can always come home.
