I am going to be completely honest in this post... The other day I posted that Water is making me nauseous, which it still is but now I'm getting nauseous even after I eat! I'm not measuring my food, I'm not taking small bites, and I'm definitely eating quickly out of habit. I have not vomited once but this nauseous is killing me. Could it be from not eating carbs? I'm really hating this.

Could something be wrong?

Have you added any flavor drops to your plain Water and or switched to an already flavored water like propel or Vitamin water. If I drink too much plain water I will stay slightly nauseous all day and I am 21 months post op.

As long as your blood sugar isn't dropping too low it is probably not from low carbs. If I were you I would try measuring your food and taking tiny tiny bites while chewing slowly. When I was newly post op I weighed and measured everything. I also ate with a toddler spoon to keep my bites small until it became a habit. That might help with the nausea.

How far post op are you?

I am two weeks and two days post op.

I have a very hard time drinking anything with fake sugar or flavor. I added lemon to my Water and instead of nausea I had intense reflux. I need to eat slower and measure for sure.

There are so many variables here, it's kinda hard to sort out. I'm two weeks postop and all I can handle are Clear liquids. You may need to back off a bit - it's frustrating, but just cause your doc says you can have something doesn't mean your sleeve is ready to process it.

Hope you find your answer soon, nausea is miserable.

Well You said you're not measuring, not taking small bites, and eating fast. That's probably your answer right there. I know everyone's program is different but your program probably said to eat slowly, take small bites, and to chew chew chew your food. Why don't you try actually doing that and see if it helps

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
