smonk76 6 Posted April 1, 2016 I'm not on any restrictions right now - but I did find a good Protein shake. I got it from costco and its 30g of Protein per shake. My sis-in-law had the sleeve done about 18 months ago and it's one she recommended. They are not tooooo terrible I think it's called pure protein, but I can double check that tomorrow - I'm already in bed with my sick 6 year old next to me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I like the premier Protein shakes, 30 g for 160 calories. Not bad. I dont see my surgeon until the 7th, but have been trying out diff shakes. Tssiemer1 549 Posted April 1, 2016 Be careful with Premier Protein. I love them but they use a Protein blend and not a whey protein.
smonk76 6 Posted April 1, 2016 Oo! I guess they have yet to tell me i cant have blends. I will have to ask when i go next week. Are the blends bad? Sent from my SPH-L710 using the BariatricPal App
Tssiemer1 549 Posted April 1, 2016 My program just prefers pure whey Protein. Idk.
smonk76 6 Posted April 1, 2016 I will add that to my growing list of things to ask the surgeon. Thank you!! Sent from my SPH-L710 using the BariatricPal App
mindy1012 2 Posted April 1, 2016 Yes! Premier Protein is what i meant. It tastes ok and I like that I really only need 2 a day to get the 60g of Protein that the nutritionist revommends Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
smonk76 6 Posted April 1, 2016 So far that one is the only one i can swallow. Blech. Lol. Isopure grape isnt horrible, and its clear, just has to be really cold. Sent from my SPH-L710 using the BariatricPal App
mbnurse 28 Posted April 1, 2016 Hi there, I've been looking for April sleevers too...my surgery is scheduled for 4/18. My surgeon doesn't require a specific pre-op diet and says that they just don't want weight gain prior to surgery, but thinking about it anyway since so many others do. I've been trying out various Proteins to try to find something I can stomach. So far I like Syntrax nectar, and they have a naturals line with Stevia rather than artificial sweeteners. The countdown has begun! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
