So close to that 100lb victory

Recommended Posts

I cannot believe I have lost 90lbs in less then 8 months. I complained so much in the beginning how slowly I was losing, and here we are, April 3rd will be 8 months and I am so close to that 100lb victory. I keep telling myself, I would be glad to lose that much at 1 year out, and now it will hopefully happen that much sooner. That is with preop diet, but who cares. How does that 100lb loss feel, for those of you who have reached it. I would still like to do another 30lbs for a total of 120lbs, but we shall see. Good luck to everyone, love my sleeve.

I'm down 118lbs, although I just had a gain of 4lbs[emoji849] but the 100lb loss didn't feel as good as I expected maybe because I have another 60lbs to go. Grateful nonetheless. Just have a ways to go

Congratulations! I'm right there with you in that I have lost 90 pounds since starting this journey. I still have 55 to go, but hope to be there close to my one year anniversary. I'm 5 months post op, but I lost 18 pounds before the surgery. Can't wait to hit that 100 lb mark. It is also nice to hit these milestones in summer when you can show off more skin.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
