All I can say is I'm 7 days post op and I don't know if it was gas or acid in my stomach but I started taking these and my problem has ceased lol I just thought I would share. post-285332-1458842637269_thumb.jpg

The main "fiber" in those is a pre-biotic Fiber called "chicory root". Maybe your gut bacteria was hungy. :P

All joking acid, most people find that increasing pre-biotic Fiber intake makes them MORE gassy, so it's interesting you've had this result.

Yes.... I'm so comfortable now. I'm taking those and Multivitamins (gummies). My stomach was killing me with bubbling gas and acid. Now I don't take the pain med or the metoclopramide. Don't need it. I sleep through the night with no waking up from stomach pain. Passing gas easily and having bowel movements. (shrugging) I don't know but it works for me. Also I haven't been tired before I HAD to take a nap now I have more energy. However I do bounce back faster then most (knock on wood).

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
