jane13 2,256 Posted March 24, 2016 hormones flushing through your system as you cleanse your body prepping for surgery. it will continue post-op, thats why they say don't make any big decisions post-op. take a deep breath, warn your family and friends and remind yourself you will be a bit "emotional" for a bit
KindaFamiliar 3,867 Posted March 24, 2016 To some degree I'd say it happens to everyone... The physical manifestation my be different in that some will cry, some will be angry, some will etc, etc... But the reality is that, even after just a few days on the pre-op diet, your body is starting to undergo some changes... Add that to the "stress" of your impending surgery and subsequent "journey" and you're sure to be a little screwed up... Either that or you're just a big girly sooky la la... Relax, you're perfectly "normal"... And you're gonna be just fine.... To some degree I'd say it happens to everyone... JamieLogical 8,710 Posted March 24, 2016 Yep. You're going to be on quite the roller coaster these next few weeks/months. Hormones are stored in fat. As you rapidly lose weight and that fat breaks down, the hormones are released back into your bloodstream. So you will have so crying fits, violent mood swings, and maybe even some horniness! You may also experience incresed fertility, so make sure you use back-up birth control methods if there's any risk of pregnancy.
