Anyone else sleeved 3/16/16?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved 3/14/16. Just had a follow up with my surgeon. Down 60lbs and 25% to goal. He said I'm right where I should be. I go back in 4 months.

Hey friends I was sleeved 3/15/16

HW: 320

SW: 286

CW: 223

So 63 pounds since surgery but 97 pounds from the start of my journey on January 15.

This past month has been so slow and I'm getting upset with myself. My goal is between 145-150.

Any recommendations and I am on it. My surgeon requires 96 oz of Water a day. That's been hard and I don't get there. I get close but I don't get there. How do you all keep up with your Water intake?

You have dropped almost 100lbs in 7 months! Let that sink in! That's amazing! You are doing great. You will continue to lose but it won't be as quick as before. have you been exercising ?

Maybe I should see a NUT. I've just been going by what my surgeon advised. Do you use an app to keep up with your meals? How many grams of Protein do you average? Sorry for all the questions.

No prob about the questions...we are hear to support each other. I use My fitness pal to track my Water, exercise, and food (caloriea, carbohydrates, Protein, etc). I love my NUT she has been so helpful and supportive during this entire process. As for protein I get about 80-90 and sometimes a little more. I am really into running (which makes me hungry) so on my longer says I eat a little more. What are you averaging?

I am released to start exercising again. I wasn't before now because I had a broken back in the past and I had some muscle issues I was working on before. So without exercise that's not bad! You're right. However, I've always been my worst critic. I can do this I know I can.

Uh yea! You look great! I see a huge change!

Keep it up! I keep body measurement also, it helps when you don't see the pounds coming off but the inches coming off! I've been terrible myself about working out. I think I'm finally comfortable getting a gym membership now.

Thank you Sammie! mean I'm down 70lbs! In less than 6 months. I'm ecstatic but I'm scared of the slow down I would really like to lose another 20-30lbs. [emoji51]

You look amazing!

Yes, I am definitely slowing down. I wonder if it will speed back up again? I hope so because all my efforts seem to be for not.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
