SCF2361 4 Posted March 23, 2016 I just got home from the hospital a few hours ago. Gas is horrible and I'm just not hungry. Is this normal? The thought of anything other than Water makes me gag.
Ragedddy 73 Posted March 24, 2016 Your not supposed to be hungry. Walk take gas x and sip on Water. This too shall pass
jennaggie 43 Posted March 24, 2016 I didn't eat for almost two weeks. Exactly two weeks out I woke up hungry. Stay hydrated. Your body has Protein reserves it can resort to but you need your Water. Good luck!

Ellana 0 Posted March 25, 2016 I am 2 day post op, and whew the gas pains do hurt. They did a block on me so the actual pain of operation I have not felt yet, I do hope the gas goes away before my nerves wake up. DavidOso 272 Posted March 25, 2016 All normal. I used a 1 cup pyrex measuring cup and a medicine cup (either from your doctor or the top of a cough medicine bottle) next to me to sip, sip, sip. Make sure you track your Fluid intake so you can gauge your increases. You really need to get up and walk a little bit, often. This will help the gas work through you. The gas is actually air that they pump into you to inflate your stomach so they could work on it. I know, that wasn't in the brochure!
