I had gastric band in 2009. Im about to be revised to a mini bypass.

There have been numerous studies showing the general failure of the band as a weight loss method.
A swiss study in 2010 showed that 80% of patients with bands will have to have them removed within 8 years.

It has been known to have a poor outcome for many years now.
