Foxy_lady 22 Posted March 22, 2016 I notice my head hunger has been bad lately, just want to sit and have a burger, and watching TV doesn't help either.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted March 22, 2016 Stop watching TV, it is full of food commercials. When you think about food, go for a walk and think about your weight loss goals while walking.
JamieLogical 8,710 Posted March 22, 2016 My head hunger was out of control in the early days. Every single food commercial on TV had me dying. I would be like "I NEED THAT RIGHT NOW!!!" Even though, had I actually eaten it, I probably would have ended up in the hospital. It definitely took my brain a while to catch up to my physical limitations, but it did happen. You just have to hang in there and stay tough. Don't do anything that is going to jeopardize your healing.
WorkinOnMe 596 Posted March 22, 2016 I agree ... fill your time with something more productive and constructive! When the head hunger hit me bad I would walk if I could. Not always feasible with my job though, so I took to drinking... Water. Every time the hunger would hit I would hit the water bottle. When I wasn't at work I would use other projects to keep my attention... I went through closets and boxes that hadn't been touched in years! The best part was that I got so engrossed in the task & mementos & memories that I forgot the hunger. And an extra bonus is that I tossed a whole bunch of junk that I really didn't need any more. Foxy_lady 22 Posted March 22, 2016 Thanks guys that really helps, I notice I'll sit there craving junk food but it would help just to start doing different tasks whenever those head hungers come around.
