Might be a little too soon for scramble eggs. For me eggs didn't become an option until week 5. But the other items should be O.K. I am not sure what medication you are taking but it might cause some interference. Generally, you don't experience dumping syndrome until you transition to solids. One item to focus on is strictures. Here is a link. https://www.realself.com/question/stricture

Keep your chin up, it will get better each day. I really think you are eating some really difficult foods for week one. Shouldn't you be on full liquids only?

During my first 2 weeks I really had no desire to eat and lived on whey Protein watery milk or beef broth (to ensure my Protein intake), Jello, sugar free popsicles, and Powerade Zero (Powerade zero, which my doctor said was the ONLY sport drink I could drink was my life saver because Without it I would have dehydrated.) I could not drink Water until about week 8 and even now it is difficult. eggs I could not tolerate until a good 6-8 weeks.

My second week I tried adding pudding, small curd cottage cheese, yogurt, and finally 'almost" pureed chicken. I think I wasted more food than I ate for the first month because I would eat a few bites and was full usually from trying to keep up with the required Fluid intake.

Any way you look at it, enjoy the limited eating now and the not wanting to eat, because by your 3rd-4th month the desire to eat is back and your new eating habits have to be on your mind so you do not fall back to your old habits.

I also had issues with "dumping" the first few weeks, but mine happened with the sweet Protein Shakes. I found Syntrax Nectar, fuzzy navel and drank that mixed with Crystal light lemonade and ice. That was refreshing for me and didn't give me the heavy feeling that the milk based Protein Drinks did and I tolerated the taste so much better also. SF popsicles were my favorites and still are. Good luck.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
