mamakatx3 1 Posted March 21, 2016 This is pretty comforting to hear. My last c section was planned and I felt the recovery was OK and my gall bladder removal wasnt to bad either. Maybe I CAN do this!!!
AmberMc03 59 Posted March 21, 2016 I have had 2 c-sections as well, the 2nd one was 5 years and 3 months ago! I was wondering how much easier this recovery would be than those. I think the diet and liquid I take will be tougher to deal with than recovery of a laparoscopic surgery.

Brittneysue12345 18 Posted March 28, 2016 I will add this. after the surgery the only thing that was harder with VSG was the liquid diet. :-) after the c section and hysterectomy I could eat. but the surgery it's self and surgical recovery was much much much easier with VSG. Sooo glad to hear !!! ????

cat saaski 104 Posted April 3, 2016 I can now say that the pain is very similar to c-section. The fear of moving wrong because of the pain at incision point is what's getting to me. And the belly full of gas! I thought I would be much more mobil by now. (2 days post op)
AmberMc03 59 Posted April 3, 2016 @ please update in a few days to when you are feeling more "normal" after surgery. I am curious to see how long recovery takes to get back to where you feel okay.

breezy25 69 Posted April 3, 2016 I'm glad to read this. I've had two c-sections (one was a horrible experience and very painful, the other one was much easier). My surgery is tomorrow and I'm nervous! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

cat saaski 104 Posted April 12, 2016 @@AmberMc03 I still have a bit of pain in my right side. It's mostly when sitting down or getting up. Getting into bed. And I can't bend down to pick anything up lower than my knee. I saw the dr yesterday. He said he had to put a couple extra stitches under the incision because he was worried about me getting a hernia. He said not everyone gets them. And he thinks it's pulling on my muscle and will take about four weeks to feel better.
Sajijoma 1,324 Posted April 12, 2016 I never had a csection but my rny surgery was way easier and less painful recovery than my births. It was also less painful than my gallbladder surgery, but that was a complicated mess from it rupturing, so not the best comparison, but I totally think of you handled a csection or two that this will be easier than you think. I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised I was even able to climb in our giant van to go home without any worries.
