msjg46 39 Posted March 21, 2016 I wore a dress last night 4 sizes smaller than when I started. I was very uncomfortable that people were going to think I looked bad. My friends and family said I looked wonderful. My dad said it was the best outfit he had seen me in in years! I felt exposed and couldn't enjoy the evening. Will this continue to happen with every new size?
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted March 21, 2016 Maybe? Perhaps finding a therapist to work through your feelings with would be a good idea.
M!@ 320 Posted March 21, 2016 This is definitely something that may come up for you. However, understand that there is a process and it will take some getting use to your new body. Which is hard to do at this stage when it is constantly changing. Give yourself time to adjust and remember compliments will come, just say thanks and keep moving. AvaFern 3,516 Posted March 21, 2016 It takes time to adjust to what you look like. I was not confident in certain clothes until after plastics and even then it took awhile to see what other people see- that I'm a pretty normal looking girl. I still don't wear short skirts without stockings and I tend to wear long sleeves because of my brachioplasty scars, but ultimately you do find things that look great on you and in which you feel comfortable, and more importantly, beautiful.
