How long was it until you went back to work? I was sleeved Monday 3/14 and I'm hoping to go back to work this Tuesday. I'm still not feeling great so I'm just wondering how long it was until everyone on here went back to work. Were you uncomfortable?

Everyone is different. I was sleeved on Feb 12 and went back to work on Feb. 22. But I am a teacher and don't have a physically demanding job. I actually only had to take 3 days off work due to wonderful snow days my district got before and after my surgery. . Hope you get to feeling better. If you feel like going back to work on Tuesday go for it but make sure you are cleared by your doctor first. If not take it easy for a while longer.

I am a wimp. I took off four weeks. However, I have a fairly active job and I am on my feet for a lot of hours. Everyone is different. Just make sure you take it easy and listen to your body. I think I took a daily nap for the first month!!

Congrats on your surgery

We went down to Las Vegas for a week to get my mom's surgery done and I believe it was 2 weeks before my mom went back to work. She does like personal care work.

I'm a vet tech with an active job... On my feet all day with lots of kneeling, bending, squatting and lifting. I wanted to take two weeks off but went back to work after 7 days because we got so busy. (I was actually doing paperwork starting day 5). I was tired, but felt well enough to work. I couldn't lift more than 20 pounds for three weeks and I just had to make sure I had plenty of Protein Shakes and other fluids to sip on in between appointments.

I was sleeved on 2/26 and returned to work on 3/14. I'm an elementary teacher so I have a pretty active job. I took off work for two weeks which worked out great. I was a little fatigued and sore at first when I returned, but now I feel great! Your body re-adjusts in a short amount of time. Listen to your body like the others said.

I was out two weeks. Was glad to have that flexibility as the second week was still pretty difficult for me.

I was sleeved on 14th of March too and got back to work today. I was a little bit tired at first but it went good since I have a desk job.

I went back after 10 days,Dr said listen to my body if it hurts then stop.I was put on desk duty and found out that the constant up and down getting out of the chair aggravated the big incicion. So I took Friday and today off and going back tomorrow. Goodluck

I took a week, and came back on 6 hour days for the rest of the first month, I have a desk job and no complications. I did fine.

If I had it to do over again I would take off the full month I was allowed and just focus on getting the hang of things.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
